This shirt was made using a single bed knitting machine.  It was an exploration of the ethical and environmental impacts of the existing practices associated with the use of snakes in the fashion industry.

Through the creation of different textile swatches, Clarke experimented with a range of techniques and fibers that could best emulate the slinkiness and luxuriousness of snake skin.  The green and black tank was made using a punchcard with Kyototex yarn and fine green cord. The shirt is styled with a pair of cropped pants. They are made from black denim, and have three working zippers.
